videos
- these three live mixes are done of events during winter 2007/2008, the “heavy dub” party in november 2007, “last warning” in ghent, belgium in november 2007 and the “wob wob” party on the ms stubnitz in december 2007. for each of them we edited our 6-7 hours of live output down to give an impression of how the night evolved.
- the video for the tune “terror talk” off the new zion train album “live as one”. that was our first attempt at professional chroma key work, which turned out to be a lot more difficult than we thought but turned out nicely. to me the compression by google video looks a little less satisfying than that of the last videos, but there’s nothing i can do about this at the moment.
- finally the video for oli’s new release “tony tuff meets earl 16 at the dubfront”: the tune is called “teach us of africa”
- little video of our friend benjies (aka wadadda) lp release party in tsunami club in cologne on january 27 2007.
- short clip we did after a dubstep party in düsseldorf in october 2006, just for fun because we liked his music.
- video we did in summer 2006, to appear as a multimedia bonus track on the “abassi allstars showcase” cd.
- video we did in spring 2006, to appear on the “dub at liquidroom, tokyo” cd by zion train. that time we used someone elses video footage, next time i’d like to go to tokyo myself.

Just found this page. Loading a bit slow from my hotel room. Looking forward to watching all of them. What did you do on them? Editing & mixing? I really like ska/dub/reggae.
aaah, okay, now i saw you found the video page. yes, we filmed all the stuff ourselves, selected and cut the material, mixed the effects with a vj application and edited the final clips in final cut. it’s amazing how much time and work a clip of a couple of minutes takes.
somehow i didn’t expect you to be into this kind of music, guess i judged wrong from your current selection on your blog.
we should have another one ready very soon (that will be the dub partner to the second one, the abassi allstars clip), we’re running late because of our move, and another one for zion train will follow later this summer.
enjoy! and don’t hesitate to criticize, we appreciate any kind of feedback.
[...] zion train video clip okay folks, our new video work is up on the video page. i also reversed the order of the videos on the page so now the new stuff is always on top of the [...]

Nice vid! I thought the chromakey stuff looked great! And I could easily look past Google Video’s compression artifacts (something I noticed with my latest upload too – and the video looked exactly like the output from YouTube – I bet they’re using the same compression engine now).
Good music for sure. What a pan-global setup. Reggae by white guys in Germany
Pretty tasty for sure.
Keep up the great work, bine!
thank you, jase!
you know, that’s exactly what i thought, it looks like youtube vids now. too bad, the earlier videos looked quite crispy on google video.
indeed a colorful constellation. zion train is originally uk-based but their … eh … head? leader? composer? (whatever) is part english, part barbadian and moved to cologne a few doors from us, the singer is from manchester. great guys to work with!
