okay, i messed up.

i’m not sure what happened, but i had already written my post for last saturday at the beginning of last week, timestamped it so it would post on saturday, and it didn’t. no idea why. what did i do wrong? has anyone ever tried this with wordpress?

i spent the weekend with my friend claudia in bremen far up in the german north and i’m still cold deep inside. how people can live in such arctic climate is beyond me. but we had huge fun, did a lot of shopping, museum-ing, tea-drinking and talking. they have recently bought and renovated a little house and it’s a real beauty. well, except for something pretty ugly the former owner must have done to the facade in the seventies, but inside it’s a cute and comfortable little nest. most of the time we didn’t spend out in the cold or at some museum we killed sitting around the table with hot ginger tea and roasted almonds, catching up on one another after not having met for a couple of months. it’s amazing how with some people you don’t need time to get comfortable again, you can just carry on where you’ve left off on your last meeting. well, we’ve know each other for getting close to 30 years now.

it was so good to connect. it was so good i’ve carried some happiness and cheerfulness into the new week. also, the sun is back after a week of the ugliest kind of rain (i forget if it was #37 or #39), storm and fog. i’m starting to feel healthy again after being cold and sniffly and irritated for days. now i believe i can beat november. except i messed up nablopomo. duh.
