1. What do you wish your name was?
i used to make up lots of names for myself as a kid. now i think i’m quite happy with my name.

2. What is your favorite thing to wear?
right now, my h&m cargo pants.

fish fillet bordelaise with rice and cucumber salad with dill vinaigrette, last night.

my sweetheart, the whole night.

africa, definitely. ethiopia, soon.

8. How many U.S states have you been to?
somewhat between 20 and 25. the complete northeast, part of south and midwest.

9. How many of the U.S states have you lived in?
none, as a permanent resident. i lived a couple weeks with friends in charlotte, north carolina.

10. Does anyone you know wanna date you?
except the one who already does, don’t think so.

11. Name something you like physically about yourself:
my hands.

my belly.

13. Who is your best friend?
couldn’t decide. there are different best friends for different things in my life.

14.Why are you still up?
better ask why are you still in bed? because i’m answering these questions and procrastinating packing.

15. Who/What made you angry today?
no one yet. yesterday, the silly neighbors who have started a petty war about our presumably driving too fast into our shared driveway (this is a very small cobblestoned dead end street, and it’s impossible to drive more than walking speed, we’re driving at exactly the same speed as they do). but tomorrow is the last days of the neighbors, then we’re gonna be out of here!

16. Favorite type of Food?
ooh, too much. italian for cooking myself, french on vacation, japanese and thai if we eat out.

17. Favorite holidays?
pentecost, i think. i’m almost always camping with friends.

18. Do you download music?
not a lot. a little of the legal free stuff, but i don’t spend money on it.

19. Do you care if your socks are dirty?
eh, yes. who wouldn’t?

nothing. oh yes, a ring i couldn’t get off last night.

i guess. i wouldn’t not date someone for posting this.

yes, several times.

lots. my man, my friends, my dad.

no. wouldn’t either. i think i’d like to parachute, but that’s different.

no. don’t really have an opinion to that. i get sick rather easily, so i think i might not be in for it.

yes. it was weird because i knew him as a kid when he was already grown up. it seemed improper, somehow.

no pockets, no money (see #20).

yep, several.

turning out to be a warm and sunny spring day.

tv babbling in the background. have to put up some music soon. ah yes, tena stelin: “gods and goddesses”.

eeeehm … the last one that stuck … “bin jip”? or “2046”, they were more or less at the same time.

yep.

35. Where was the last place you went besides your house?
our new flat. if that doesn’t count, an appartment hotel in bergen aan zee, noord holland (netherlands).

ummm, five. one in the left ear, four in the right, i let the last one heal up because it kept getting inflamed. so four left.

none.

nothing is for granted.

latte macchiato.

yep, at the city fair, when i was a kid.

sure.

“karambolage” on arte. it’s an educational programme about the differences and similarities of france and germany, incredibly cleverly done.

hah! brand new! not even named! (see yesterday’s post).

no. don’t think so.

oh, i’m quite happy alone right now.

hmmm … harold and maude? it’s one of them at least.

yes, i do.

i guess. must have removed it from my memory, though.

amaryllis. are they called the same in english? don’t know. it’s hippeastrum in latin, so look it up.

“page” (design stuff), several mac-zines now and then, several reggae-zines now and then.

no, never.

not recently.

intolerance.

no.

don’t have a favorite. good food, summer rain, lovers’ out-of-bed smell, everything i connect with something nice, stuff like that.

this meme is clearly u.s.-generated … i don’t really know anything about baseball.

oatmeal. and crunchy nut cornflakes, sometimes.

65. What’s the longest time you’ve gone without sleep?
somewhat nearing 60 hours, i guess.

seven years ago, with clients, first and last time. man, was i sore the next day.

67. Where is the weirdest place you have slept?
can’t remember. in a car in some suburb of rome, i guess. someone threw a rock through our rear window while we slept.

my friend katrin at my hometown, to cancel our annual easter-egg-dying for this year, due to hectic moving circumstances.

yesterday.

70. What’s the closest orange object to you?
my man’s bathtub. yes, it’s in the bedroom. and yes, it’s orange.
